The median price for a home in Overland Park for December was $199,975, down 17% from $241,000 compared to December 2010.

Overland Park homes were on the market an average of 96 days, a decrease of 13% or 14 days less than a year ago.

December reported 8.4 months supply of homes, an increase of 3% or .2 more months than December, 2010.

125 homes sold in Olathe in December 2011, up 10% or 11 more than December 2010.

There were 977 homes for sale in Olathe in December down 16%, or 187 fewer compared to the same period last year.

Olathe homes were on the market an average of 126 days, an increase of 36% or 33 days longer than a year ago.

The median price for an Olathe home remained flat in December at $177,500 compared to $178,250 a year ago.

December reported 10.2 months supply of homes, a decrease of 6% compared to December, 2010.
