The median price for a home in Overland Park for March was $236,500, up 10% from $215,000 compared to March 2011.

There were 228 homes under contract in March compared to 224 for the same period last year. An increase of 2%.

Overland Park homes were on the market an average of 79 days, a decrease of 12% or 11 days less than a year ago.

March reported 3.9 months supply of homes, a decrease of 20% or 1 month less than March, 2011.

There were 1,106 homes for sale in Olathe in March down 12%, or 153 fewer compared to the same period last year.

Olathe homes were on the market an average of 86 days, a decrease of 23% or 26 days less than a year ago.

The median price for an Olathe home increased in March to $194,250 compared to $177,000 a year ago.

There were 207 properties under contract in March up 10% from a year ago.
